What Is Lightroom
Lightroom is a photo and video editor. Lightroom is considered to be the most powerful app for color grading. If you are a photographer and shoot film videos, then this app is very helpful for you. The lightroom app was created by Adobe company. At first, Lightroom was made only for laptop and computer users. But seeing the popularity of lightroom, Adobe company decided to make an app for Android users, and after some time, launched the lightroom app for mobile users.
Recently, some good features have also been added to lightroom, which makes it very easy to edit images. Such as blurring the object in the photo, changing the color of the sky, etc.
In Lightroom, the full feature of mixing colors in images and making good changes in the light effect is available for free. This app is available for both android and iOS. Android users can install it from play star and iOS users can install it from apple store.
Lightroom Mix Tool
In image editing, mixing colors and lightening or darkening a color is very important. You all know that whenever we click an image, there are some colors in it that we do not want. That is why those colors need to be changed to other colors and their value needs to be increased or decreased. Lightroom app is famous for this. In Lightroom, choose the color option. Now choose the color mixing option.
Here, you can see a total of 7 colors such as red, yellow, saffron, blue, green, pink, purple, and water.
In the panel of these seven colors, you can see 3 options, such as Hue, Saturation, and Luminance.
About Hue –
If you reduce the hue value of any of these colors, you will start seeing its opposite color in the image.
The opposite color of each color is different. For example, the opposite color of red will appear as pink, and the opposite color of blue will appear as water.
About Saturation –
Saturation in lightroom is only for increasing or decreasing the value of colors. If you feel that a color in the image is too dark then decrease the value of saturation. If the color in the image is light then increase the value of saturation.
About Luminance –
When we make a good change in the color and light effect in the image, then only some colors do not have brightness. Some colors have more brightness. So to increase or decrease the value of brightness of colors, you can choose the luminance option.
Lightroom Presets
Come, friends, let us know what they are lightroom presets and how they are created. Lightroom presets are a readymade image editing setting, using which images can be edited tremendously in a few moments. Such as fixing light effects, adding effects, blurring, etc. There are two types of lightroom presets; the first is XMP presets, and the second is DNG presets. The size of dng presets is in MB while the size of Xmp Presets is in KB. The method of applying both presets to the images is different.
Xmp presets are in the form of files which can be seen only after applying them to the images, whereas we can see the properties of dng presets beforehand.
All the settings of doing can be copied and applied to any image. Whereas xmp presets have to be used by adding the file.
Lightroom Presets Photo Editing

- First of all, install the lightroom app on mobile from the play store and import photos and presets.
- Now open the presets in lightroom and copy the settings of color, light, and effect.
- After this, open the photo and select the Menu setting option. Now press the paste setting option.
- Presets have been applied to your image. Now you can make some changes in the image from your side, like saturation, vibrance, etc.
Lightroom Profiles Presets
Many people in this world like to edit images but they are short of time. They want to edit images brilliantly in a very short time. So, the profiles option of lightroom is helpful for them. Because this option has some readymade image editing settings that we can apply to another image in a few moments. Profiles also work like lightroom presets.
After applying profiles to the image, we can also increase or decrease the value of color and light effect in it. If you are one of those people who want to edit photos in one click without wasting time, then lightroom profiles are a good idea for you.
Light Adjustment
Whenever we click an image with a mobile or camera, we do not get the perfect light. But even after clicking the image, the light effect can be corrected in it. About Exposure –
Exposure means darkness and light. With the help of setting this option, the entire light of the image can be changed. You can balance the light in the image.
About Contrast –Â
The contrast option is used to make the colors and details stronger in the image. Whenever you increase the contrast value in the image, you will see a huge difference between light and darkness in the image. The image will change to a very dark effect. When the contrast value is decreased in the image, the colors and light in the image appear very light. The colors and darkness become very light.
About Shadows –
The part of darkness in the picture is known as shadow. Often you must have seen that darkness is seen in some parts of the image, so the shadow option is given in lightroom to increase or decrease its value. When you reduce the value of shadow in the image, then all the dark parts of the image will be bright. If you increase the amount of shadow, then the dark parts of the image will be more dark.
About Blacks –
The black option in lightroom is used to manipulate black and white colors in images. Suppose there is an image and there are some black parts in it; if you want to convert those black parts to white, then increase the value of black. If you want to make the image white and a little black, then decrease the value of black.
About Highlights –Â
With the help of this option, you can control the lightest part of the image. From here you can adjust the value of the brighter parts of the image. Often you must have seen that there are some parts in the images in which too much light is visible. So the highlights option in lightroom is helpful to balance that light.
Lightroom Effects Tool
This tool provides you with various facilities for image editing for free. Some tools in this tool help make the image attractive and filmy look.
Vignette – Using this tool, darkness or light can be added to the edge of the image. It only controls the edges of the image. The middle part of the image is not affected.
Grain – You must have seen old films, which have a grainy look attached to them, due to which the film looks quite attractive. So this tool allows you to add a grainy look to photos and videos.
Texture – This tool is used to make the pictures attractive in images.
Clarity – The clarity tool is used to control the quality of the image.
